Corrections, coverage gaps and market observations. What we can help with, and what we cannot.

Cosmetology London is a small editorial operation. We read everything, we answer what we can, and we are more useful on some subjects than on others.

What we are useful for

  • Corrections. If something on this site is factually wrong, tell us the page, the passage and what the correct position is. We will check it and fix it.
  • Gaps. If there is a London district or a treatment category we should be covering and are not, tell us. Coverage decisions are made editorially, but reader requests genuinely shape them.
  • Market observations. If you work in the London market and something we describe does not match what you see, we want to hear it, including when it is uncomfortable.

What we cannot help with

  • Medical advice. We cannot tell you whether a treatment suits you, assess a result, advise on a complication or give a second opinion. If you have a complication after treatment, contact the practitioner who treated you immediately. If it is urgent, seek emergency medical care.
  • Clinic recommendations. We do not recommend clinics or practitioners, for the reasons set out in our editorial policy. We will always point you to the public registers instead.
  • Bookings. We are not a booking service and have no relationship with any clinic's diary.
  • Paid placement. We do not sell coverage, links, listings or mentions, and enquiries about buying any of those will not receive a reply.

If something has gone wrong after treatment

Contact the practitioner who treated you first, because they know what was used and where. If you cannot reach them and you have symptoms such as severe or increasing pain, skin that is turning pale, mottled or dusky, vision changes, or signs of infection, treat it as an emergency and seek medical care immediately rather than waiting for a clinic to open.

To raise a concern about a registered professional, the General Medical Council and the Nursing and Midwifery Council both accept complaints about registrants. Concerns about a provider carrying out regulated activity in England can be raised with the Care Quality Commission. Practitioners on the JCCP and Save Face registers are also subject to those schemes' own complaints processes.

How to reach us

Use the form below and tell us which of the categories above your message falls into. It helps us route it and it makes a reply more likely. We do not publish a telephone number, because everything we do is better handled in writing.
